What?
Casa Del Bodhi is a home like no-other and was established in the Summer of 2014. The original structure was built in 1937 and has seen many people come and go, but always leaving an impression on the wooden floors and the soul of the soil.
Who?
In Mahayana Buddhism, bodhisattva is the Sanskrit term for anyone who, motivated by great compassion, has generated bodhicitta, which is a spontaneous wish to attain buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings.
Why?
Co-housing means community! At the casa we share hands, resources, gardening, bioculinary arts, friendships, mutual support, and creative gatherings. We are learning ever greater co-living based on willingness in cooperation and communication. CDB works as a community towards positive cross-cultural living experience, in right relationship with all sentient beings from the microorganisms beneath our feet in the soil to the fellow humans.
Where?
The Casa is located in the heart of Little Haiti, Miami, Florida, dubbed the Bed-Stuy of Miami, it’s a great central location near all the cultural attractions Miami has to offer. A multi-room, two-story Dade pine home with large front and back porches with a front and back yard with a community garden, of tropical fruit trees, medicinal healing and nourishing herbs, and other edible.
